Hatimaye record label kubwa duniani, Universal Music Group (UMG), imemtangaza rasmi kumsainisha Diamond Platnumz.

Anakuwa msanii wa kwanza kutoka Afrika Mashariki kusainishwa kwenye label hiyo.

Wimbo wake, Marry You akiwa na Ne-Yo ni wa kwanza kutoka chini ya mwamvuli wa Universal Music.
