TGNP comes up with seminar strategy to empower women to contest ahead election

TGNP Mtandao finally has come up with the strategy of empowering women to win, especially those who aspiring to contest into various post at the ahead election

That move has come after noticing that most female fail to appear and contest for various vacant post because of lack of confidence, worries and feeling inferior in front of the male.

Speaking with the writer in the exclusives interviews, the executive Director of the Mtandao, Lilian Liundi  said the main goals of  arranging those kinds of seminar is to build capacity to women to compete effectively with other contesters

She said, the experience, and skills imparted to them by skilled moderators act as stimulus to achieve their goals, saying the training was focused on preparing them to create attractive agenda and present it to their society so as to be selected.

The Director said it is her hope that all participant received the training will participate and emerge victorious to the coming election.

To his side, Deogratus Temba who is the  TGNP Program officer mobilization and outreach, had made a call to all women participated to the training to make sure they make use of all skills obtained, also they have to block the silence and raise their voice to express problems surrounded their areas.

Temba who was among of high profile leader at the organization and who closed the seminar, said the knowledge that obtained from seminar is useful for women in developing their dreams of becoming good leader.

He said, TGNP will continue to cooperate with all stakeholders attended the training, in all steps related with participating in the coming election.

                                                                     

Again, the moderator Janeth Mawinza counseled participant to avoid corruption during the time of finding political support, it is not a capital, luck, but it kills the dignity of the women.

Apart from those efforts also the networks had come with various efforts to raise awareness of issues related with gender and campaign of protecting child.

Issues of protecting child, the network had come with 1-5-5 campaign to raise awareness across the country and they urged the citizens to cooperate with them in trumpeting the campaign so that it reaches up to grassroots for better results.
