Bagamoyo festival comes to an end, Shonza urge artist tot learn our mistake and move forward

Deputy Minister of Information, Culture, Arts and Sports, Juliana Shonza urged arts in Tanzania to release quality works that can penetrate national and international markets, insisting, doing that will generate more money and hence meets their goals

Speaking at the official adjourning of 38 international festival of culture and arts that was held at TASUBA in Bagamoyo, the Minister said Tanzania will feel proud to see arts perform better internationally, that is possible if and only if artist choose  to work hard and produce works that meet international requirements.
Shonza who is also the member of parliaments, said the work of artist is among of things that promote development of tourism sector in the country, those works should be well prepared, including adding creativity and innovation plus exerting time to come up with concrete works that will have high demand.
Furthermore, the minister advised youth and artist who attended this year festival, to make correction in all areas that they observed there is shortcomings, keeping in mind that the institute of arts and culture (TaSuBa) is the college of training artist and festival management.
She added that the ministry of information, culture, art and sports will continue to supervise the quality of art work and culture and by collaboration with ministry of natural resources and tourism they shall make arts and cultural works as part of tourism attraction in the country.
Again, the minister has applauded TASUBA for their endless efforts of improving good relationship with foreign countries through culture and art that are taught in their premises.
Elaborating the contributions of TASUBA, the boss said through their training, there are who come from outside the country seek the opportunity to learn culture and arts and also there Tanzania who passed through the college and get admission to foreign countries, something that she comment that is good steps in trumpeting Tanzania abroad
She made a call to TASUBA management to make analysis with the intention to come up with more innovative festival in next year.
To his side the executive Director of TASUBA, Dr. Herbert Makoye, speaking before the official adjourning of the festival, said the festival is important events and the government should look such event with third eye as it nurture and developing talent of Tanzanian
“We thank government for their support to the institute, we want to say these events which we prepare yearly have greater outcome to our people we must uphold them” He said
To her side, the District administration secretary (DAS), Kasilda Mgeni, said the District proud to host such kind of festival, saying nevertheless of showcasing the talents of youth but also it announces the district, regions and nation at large, it strengthen the relationships with outsiders because of foreign who attend the festival
Among of other benefits that obtained due to its presence is creations of employments to youth and entrepreneurs.
Because of such benefits, the committee security at Bagamoyo diced to improve security so that participant stay safe from theft and related affairs.
